How Valuable Is Your Heart? You’ll Be Shocked!
This week, I’d like to encourage you to take a different approach, one rooted in proactive selfcare and respect for this incredible organ.
Here are five essential, evidence-based ways to support your heart:
- Know your numbers: Regularly check your blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and body weight. These are silent indicators that often reveal risks before symptoms arise.
- Move with purpose: Physical activity reduces your risk of cardiovascular disease by up to 30%. It also improves mood, metabolism, and cognitive function.
- Nourish your body, not your habits: A Mediterranean-style diet — rich in plants, healthy fats, lean protein and low in refined sugars, remains the gold standard for heart health.
- Pay attention to symptoms: Breathlessness, chest discomfort, irregular heartbeats, and fatigue are not normal signs of ageing, they may be early warnings.
- Take prevention seriously: If you’re over 40, have a family history of heart disease, or are simply looking for peace of mind, consider a cardiac screening. Early detection can change everything.
- Your heart shows up for you every day even while you sleep. This week, make one conscious decision to return the favour.
Should you ever need guidance, reassurance, or clarity, get in touch anytime.
Best wishes,
